Each year at the State Championship, for Young Adult and higher classes, Texas ASA awards Gist Silversmith buckles to winners in classes with a minimum of three shooters.  If a class has fewer than three shooters, a buckle from Blazin' Creationz is awarded.

In Youth and lower classes, due to generous donations and fundraising, we award Gist buckles to all classes, regardless of participation numbers.

The buckles are funded by a portion of the shooters' entry fees at each qualifier as well as by annual fundraising and donations.

In order for buckles to be awarded at a Texas ASA Qualifier event, the club must have prior approval, host a multi-state qualifier, and peer group the shooters at the event.
